“Coach Connie” Pastorius is a personal trainer, yoga instructor, and the creator of the Strong as a Mother coaching program. An Astoria mom of two under 6 years old herself, she helps women at all phases of motherhood feel strong and confident in their body. Women who are getting ready to get pregnant, or are pre-natal and want a healthy pregnancy, or are post-natal and ready to reclaim their health, or are in perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause…they all have different needs and considerations that make it hard to be successful in a cookie-cutter workout program. That’s why Connie focused her studies and coaching career on helping moms safely build their strength back so they can not only go about their days pain-free, but are able to achieve their health and fitness goals no matter what stage of motherhood they’re in.Coach Connie understands the value of her client’s time-so her coaching not only focuses on functional strength training, but also making the biggest impact on client’s health by assessing daily sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. She works with her clients to ensure that the progress that’s happening in the gym is maximized by optimizing what’s also going on in the client’s life outside of the gym.
